Hexoloy SiC is an excellent alternative material to superalloys and other ceramics for components such as posts and rollers. Its exceptional properties include high thermal conductivity and thermal shock resistance. Hexoloy SiC is impervious to gases up to 2000°F even at 4000 psi. It has an emissivity of .9 - an excellent black body.
